Ok. So on Friday, as mentioned in one of the post before, i was at temple till 2.00pm. From 7.30am till 2.00pm! Working on the lorry, and having fun. And i did not eat my lunch. Well, ok fine i did, but it was just 3 spoons for rice/lauk that i took from Andy. Supposed to be his lunch la he gave me a few bites. Surprisingly i had no mood to eat la.. there are a few reasons to this :
1. Wendy sms-ed me and told me she got petronas. YAY!!!!!!
2. After reading that i kept thinking of JPA.
3. met ah wong. Ah wong tell me go matric. !@#$%^&*
4. I was considering matric after he said that.
To tell the truth, scholarships punya hal was totally out of my head until i got Wendy's sms. Dont worry Wendy, its ok. im not angry or anything. dont feel bad. hehe!
So aunt picked me up at 2.00pm and rushed home. Reached home at 2.15pm, then briefly told parents about matriculation. They were not happy, but nasib i was in a rush so they no chance to nag. hahahahaha! So i got ready for work, which i had to go in at 3.30pm. I washed my hair two or three times u know! I also put sabun over my badan and scrubbed scrubbed scrubbed for so long! to much glitters over my whole body. LOL.
So after preparing everything then i left my house at 3.30pm.. Went in for work. wow, that day was so empty! haha! so from 3.30pm till 4.45pm i talked to matt. LOL. and was so jittery coz of JPA. lol. i had no idea why but i was surely in a good mood that day. LOL. must be because lack of sleep. yeah i get hyper when i lack of sleep. less than 2 hours sleep know! LOL.
Oh yea, a student gave me chocolates!! Seriously he is so cute! hehe! he said for mothers day. LOL so cute right not? =P matt, u tak da. i got! hehehehehehe!
So at 5.30pm dad came to pick me up and dropped me at temple. met up with ross and zihan, passed them their t shirts. went to dana room and met up with shashi, may jen, chiang, and kin woon and chit chat a while after taking my tabung. met augustin, but he was busy with ping and mei. haha.
after briefing and all, we walked to gbs. i ate my roti. hungry leh~ but no mood to eat. morning drank milo only, lunch only a few spoons of food. there i met with my di, and the other sfi people. so packed as usual. Then the procession started. It was good.. seriously. Tho i was freaking hungry! met with jim, ping, mei, and others on the way.
and yes, i partner-ed augustin shii. he was a good partner la. only a lil too tall so when the kids wanted to donate he had to bend really low. haha
oh ya, one thing i realised.. i sms alot during procession. sorry la.. not intentional. normally don't do that wan lo.. only this year. haha. eh mr tay, do u realise right, we sms alot during procession? seriously. i was deleting my messages and i realise the messages were all, "where are you now?", "i at .....", "wait there im coming..", "eh where are you again?" those kind. haha.
so after procession, i went into dana room AGAIN. air con. niahahahahaha. met up with di, aaron, xy, bee,yy, alicia. who else? sorry la got alot people. then went to see the buddha image being carried in and fireworks disply. then was THE incident. (JPA)
after that stayed on for service.. till past midnight. =)
oh ya, whole day all i had was milo, 3 spoons of lauk/rice, and two 60sen roti.
so that wraps up my Wesak eve. and although i was extremely exhausted, i was really happy, inside out. and the JPA news wrapped up my day, and started my Wesak day beautifully.
and u know the lorry i decorated? the one we took so much time and energy to decorate?
yes, THAT lorry. (nice right? hehe!) Procession ended at about 10.30pm/11.00pm. By 12.30am, the lorry was EMPTY. it look as it was before. kek sim? well, that wasnt wat i felt. i felt the TRUTH. the truth is, nothing is permanent. =) and everything changes. hehe! anyway just seeing how happy those kids are, being able to sit on the lorry makes me happy and contented. *winks*
and one thing i realised.. i like to see people in prayer. no matter what religion. When deep in prayer, people see so.. focused and calm and not angry. They look so.. serene.
Throughout the walk, i saw many people.. and many things made me glad and happy that i took part in the procession. Alot of people may be buddhists, they claim to be buddhists, but they don't go to temple often. Its ok.. but its during Wesak that these people pay their respects to the Buddha. I see small kids, young adults, adults, and old people closing their eyes, wishing and praying for something whenever they see a Buddha image. and it touches my heart. They may not have time or the transport to go to the temple, so its during Wesak that we BRING the Buddha image to them, giving them a chance to make an aspiration with confidence and inspiration. And I'm glad i am part of this whole thing.
One more, i see kids, very young, and young adults giving donations. Some of the kids are SO young, and so eager to give donations. Meanwhile, some were not that well to do.. well, im not judging a book by its cover, but yes, there was this boy who looked like he came from quite a poor family.. he gave donations.. and when i gave him the strings, he was SO HAPPY! he was OVERJOYED! and he was holding a plastic bag, filled with things that were given free and by giving donations. i was touched. im serious.
so yeah. that wraps up this post.
*waves*
btw, thanks to those who donated.. and to august, thanks for being such a great partner! and everyone who participated in the procession, thanks so much for kaming it a success. =)
